Clinical trials are a crucial part of the search for improved diagnoses and treatments for amyloidosis.  Clinical trials rely upon the participation of patients and their families.  While the patient may or may not benefit from a new or investigational treatment, the information learned from their participation will certainly help others.

Most clinical trials are registered with the National Institute of Health (NIH).  Sites where clinical trial information can be found are:

www.clinicaltrials.gov is a service of the NIH

Another site to find trials for AL amyloidosis is www.cancer.gov/clinicaltrials provided by the National Cancer Institute.  At this site select multiple myeloma as the type of cancer and primary systemic amyloidosis as the subtype
